Privacy Policy
How we handle personal data on https://dbstyres.com, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Last updated: 8 August 2026
1. Who we are
This website, https://dbstyres.com, is owned and operated by FOUR ONE GROUP, a partnership firm registered in India, having its registered office at 4/18, Near KSRTC Garage, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala, 683106, India (GSTIN 32AACFF4421G1Z1). DBS Tyres is a brand owned and operated by Four One Group.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Four One Group, and “you” refers to any person who visits this website or contacts us through it. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data described below.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers this marketing website only. Two related services are governed separately:
- Our customer job-card application at https://service.dbstyres.com/customer, where you log in or register with your mobile number using a one-time password delivered over WhatsApp. That application processes the data you enter there — such as your name, mobile number, vehicle details and service history — to create and track job cards for work carried out at our branches.
- WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Once your message leaves this website and opens in WhatsApp, the contents of that chat are also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
3. Personal data we process
Data you choose to give us. If you use the tyre enquiry tool on this site, you select a vehicle type, optionally enter a tyre size or description and choose a branch. These answers are assembled into a pre-written WhatsApp message on your own device. Nothing you type into that tool is submitted to or stored on our servers. The information reaches us only if you go on to send the WhatsApp message or call us, at which point we receive your mobile number, your name as it appears on WhatsApp and whatever you tell us about your vehicle.
Data collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics and advertising measurement tools that place cookies or similar identifiers on your device. Through them we, or the providers named in section 5, may process your IP address (from which an approximate city-level location is derived), device and browser type, the pages you view, the links you click, referring URLs and timestamps.
What we do not collect. This website has no account registration, no login and no payment gateway. We do not ask for and do not collect passwords, card details, bank details, Aadhaar or any other government identifier on this website.
4. Why we process it, and on what basis
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- to respond to your enquiry and provide the tyre, alignment, balancing or fitting service you ask about;
- to measure how the website is used, so we can fix problems and improve it;
- to measure and improve our advertising on Meta platforms, including showing you our advertisements after you have visited this site; and
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.
Under the DPDP Act, our processing rests on your consent, which you give by choosing to contact us or by continuing to use the site with analytics and advertising cookies enabled, and on the “certain legitimate uses” permitted by Section 7 of that Act, such as processing data you voluntarily provide for a purpose you have asked us to fulfil and processing required to comply with law.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising tools
We use the following third-party tools. Each is operated by the provider named, which acts as an independent controller of the data it receives under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — measures page views, traffic sources and on-site behaviour in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you by name. You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser opt-out add-on.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) — records page views and enquiry clicks so we can measure our advertising and reach people with similar interests. You can control this from your Meta ad preferences and your off-Facebook activity settings.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Doing so does not affect your ability to use this website, call us or message us on WhatsApp.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not rent or trade contact lists. We share data only with:
- the analytics and advertising providers listed in section 5, in the manner described there;
- our hosting and IT service providers, who process data only to keep this website running;
- our own staff at the branch you contact, so they can serve your vehicle; and
- courts, regulators or law enforcement, where disclosure is required by Indian law.
7. Transfers outside India
The providers named above process data on servers that may be located outside India. Such transfers are made in accordance with Section 16 of the DPDP Act, which permits transfer to any country other than those the Central Government may restrict by notification.
8. How long we keep data
Enquiries received over WhatsApp or by phone are kept for as long as needed to serve you and, thereafter, for the period required by tax and accounting law. Analytics data is retained for the period configured in the respective platform, which does not exceed 26 months for Google Analytics. When data is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for and no law requires us to keep it, we erase it.
9. How we protect data
We maintain reasonable security practices and procedures as required by Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Section 8 of the DPDP Act — including transport encryption (HTTPS) across this website, access control over the devices and accounts used at our branches, and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India of a personal data breach as the law requires.
10. Your rights
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing activities we undertake;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed;
- have your data erased where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for and no law requires us to retain it;
- withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- have your grievance addressed through the process in section 13, and to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you remain unsatisfied.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at grievance@dbstyres.com from the contact details you gave us, describing your request. You are expected to provide only authentic and verifiable information when making a request.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults arranging vehicle service. We do not knowingly process the personal data of a child under 18 years of age without the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child’s data has reached us, contact the Grievance Officer and we will erase it.
12. Links to other websites
This site links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, our customer job-card application and other third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not operate, and we encourage you to read their policies.
13. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, including Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and with Section 13 of the DPDP Act, complaints about the processing of personal data may be addressed to our Grievance Officer:
